Personal Protective Guide
Job Task: Weed Burning Operation
Hazards: Burns due to fire, inhalation of smoke, trip and fall injuries, and exposure to animal/insect bites
Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Wear the appropriate reflective vests if working along the roadway. Follow proper controlled burning techniques, stay upwind of smoke and have fire extinguishing equipment available. Do not burn in high winds. Use a NP-95 respirator if necessary.
