Personal Protective Guide

Job Task:  Trenching

Hazards:  Collapse of trench, exposure to insufficient oxygen, inadequate ventilation, limited means of entry/exit, combustible and toxic gases, head injuries from falling spoil, and fall into trench

Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.
