Personal Protective Guide
Job Task: Hedge Trimmer (Gas) Operation
Hazards: Eye injury from flying objects, hearing loss due to high noise, inhalation of fumes when refueling, and vehicle exposures when working near traffic
Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Operate equipment in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Allow use only by trained and authorized individuals. To reduce the chance of fire, do not refuel a hot machine. Avoid inhaling fumes when refueling. Fuel in a well ventilated area. Wear reflective vest if working near traffic.
