Personal Protective Guide

Job Task:  Electrical Installation

Hazards:  Electrocution and hand, foot and limb injuries due to arc flash

Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Follow the National Electrical Code and NFPA for arc flash protection if working with live currents. Face shields are considered secondary protection and should always be worn with safety glasses or goggles under the shield.  Ensure all tools are properly insulated and lockout/tagout procedures are followed.
