Job Task: ATV 4-Wheeler Operation
Hazards: Hand injuries due to contact with objects during use or contact with moving parts during repair, foot injury from vehicle rolling over foot, strains and sprains due to awkward working position during maintenance, eye injury from flying particles, high noise during operation, and head injury due to fall from vehicle.
Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Operate equipment in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Allow only trained authorized users to operate or perform routine maintenance and repair on equipment. DOT/Snell rated helmets should be worn during use. Always operate in an open well ventilated area or vent exhaust directly outdoors. Never refuel while engine is running or in presence of open flame. Never remove radiator cap from liquid cooled engines while they are hot. Stop engine before performing any maintenance or trouble shooting and disable the ignition system. Follow lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance and repair. Ensure all guards are in place prior to operation and after repairs. Keep hands, hair and clothing away from moving parts.
