Personal Protective Guide

Job Task:  Aeration

Hazards:  Hand, foot and limb entrapment, eye and face injury from flying objects, back and shoulder strain from improper machine handling and operation, inhalation of fumes when refueling, and vehicle exposures when working near traffic

Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments:  Operate equipment in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. To reduce the chance of fire, do not refuel a hot machine.  Avoid inhaling fumes when refueling.  Reflective vests should be worn when working near roadways.
