Job Task: Pressure Washer (Gas) Operation
Hazards: Eye, head, and hand injury from flying debris, trauma from contact with steam, foot injury from dropped items, electrical shock due to improper grounding, and high noise during operation
Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Operate washer in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Allow only authorized employees to use washer. Prevent bodily contact with high pressure steam. Face shields are considered secondary protection and should always be worn with safety glasses or goggles under the shield. Always operate gasoline washers in an open well ventilated area or vent exhaust directly outdoors. Never refuel while engine is running or in presence of open flame. Stop engine before performing any maintenance or trouble shooting and disable the ignition system. Ensure all guards are in place prior to operation and after repairs. Keep hands, hair and clothing away from moving parts.
