Job Task: Portable Generator (Gas) Operation
Hazards: Inhalation of exhaust, trauma due to burns, foot injury due to generator rolling over the foot, and electrical shock due to improper grounding
Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Operate equipment in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Allow only trained authorized users to operate or perform routine maintenance and repair on equipment. Always operate in an open well ventilated area or vent exhaust directly outdoors. Never refuel while engine is running or in presence of open flame. Never remove radiator cap from liquid cooled engines while they are hot. Stop engine before performing any maintenance or trouble shooting and disable the ignition system. Ensure all guards are in place prior to operation and after repairs. Check connections and generator grounding prior to use. Keep hands, hair and clothing away from moving parts.
