Personal Protective Guide

Job Task:  Nail Gun Operation

Hazards:  Eye injury due to projectiles, struck by flying nails, high air hose noise, trauma due to air pressure and ejection of tool, and foot injury from dropped materials

Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments:  Operate equipment in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.  Allow use only by trained and authorized individuals. Inspect tool before use and never assume gun is empty.  Never point tool at anyone.  Wear gloves if the object being cut could cause cuts, punctures or abrasions.
