Personal Protective Guide
Job Task: Ice Removal (Chipping)
Hazards: Eye injury from projectiles, slip and fall, cold temperatures, strains and sprains due to lifting, impact vibration injuries, and foot injury from dropped tools
Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Take occasional breaks to avoid repetitive motion injury from vibration. Wear clothing appropriate for the temperature to prevent frostbite and hypothermia. Use proper lifting techniques. Stretch prior to activity to warm up muscles.
