Personal Protective Guide
Job Task: Confined Space Entry
Hazards: Exposure to insufficient oxygen, inadequate ventilation, limited means of entry/exit, combustible and toxic gases, entrapment and engulfment, eye and face injuries from work being performed, and slip and fall hazards.
Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Confined space entry procedures should be followed. A SCBA is needed for entry to spaces that are immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH). Hearing protection may be needed depending upon the activity being performed.
