Job Task: Abrasive Cutoff Saw Operation
Hazards: Inhalation of dust and particles, head and eye injuries from projectiles, foot and hand injuries from contact with moving parts, electrical shock due to improper grounding, and fire from sparks
Although other exposures exist, they are not controlled by personal protective equipment; therefore, they are not indicated in this manual.

Additional Comments: Operate equipment in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Face shields are considered secondary protection and should always be worn with safety glasses or goggles under the shield. Wearing a disposable respirator is optional. Ensure all guarding is in place and properly adjusted. If saw is designed for a fixed location, ensure it is securely anchored to prevent movement. Wear gloves during material handling if the object being cut could cause cuts, punctures or abrasions. Keep hands, hair and loose clothing clear of all moving parts. Remove or protect flammable and combustibles in the immediate area from sparks. Follow lockout/tagout procedures during repair.
